Machine Operator DS

Job Description

While reporting to the Chief Operator, Machine Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient production of the paver and block equipment. This individual must be mechanically inclined.

Work in collaboration with other operators and support personnel (forklift operators, general laborers, etc.) in order to achieve performance goals. Have an exemplary behavior and show a positive attitude. Supervise all activities related to machinery and ensure that employees are properly trained. Keep morale at a high level in order to optimize team work and to manufacture quality products within the allotted time schedule. Have the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to operate machinery.


Communicate any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to relieving operators

Be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence and relay the information to the appropriate personnel.

Be able to reason and apply common sense. General computer skills, forklift experience, and oral communication.

Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide weight measurement, volume and distance.

Be able to write simple correspondence and / or memos

Be able to efficiently present information in a one-on-one or small group situation

Actively participate in production meetings and share relevant information with the team

Maintain equipment in an operating function at all times and ensure cleanliness at the end of each shift

Complete minor repairs on equipment and refer issues to maintenance to avoid production delays

Deliver results:

Operate production equipment to meet production needs.

Produce assigned products with verbal and written instructions

Ensure that what is produced meets the Company s quality standards and the established schedule

Complete equipment set-up procedures.

The work environment:

Exposure to: vibration, loud noises, wet/hot/cold, high walk-ways.


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment;
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Excellent communications skills; written and oral;
  • Ability to self-motivate, work autonomously and proactively;
  • Interpersonal Skills;
  • Availability to work flexible hours and overtime
  • Flexibility, adaptability, organization skills and professionalism;

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
