Summary:
As a Customer Service Representative at Halter Materials & Landscape Supply, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, assisting them in selecting the right landscaping materials, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
This role involves effective communication, product knowledge, and problem-solving skills to meet customer needs and maintain a smooth operation at the yard.

Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide information on landscaping materials, pricing, and product specifications.
Answer inquiries, address concerns, and offer expert advice on suitable products for various landscaping projects.
Order Processing:
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
Maintain records of customer transactions and interactions.
Product Knowledge:
Develop a thorough understanding of the landscaping materials available.
Stay updated on new products, promotions, and industry trends.
Educate customers on proper usage and maintenance of materials.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with management to find solutions for escalated issues.
Assist in Yard Operations:
Coordinate with yard staff to ensure product availability and maintain a well-organized yard.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking as needed.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.
Provide customers with safety information related to the handling of materials.
Communication:
Collaborate with colleagues and management to share customer feedback and suggest improvements.
Effectively communicate promotions, sales, and company policies to customers.
Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
Provide backup support to other areas of the yard as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of landscaping materials and their applications is a plus.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items 50 lbs and above.

Basic computer skills for order processing and record-keeping.
